Our Experience
Peat depth survey for the Burgar Hill windfarm, where ground conditions, peat depth, slope, and peat slide risks were assessed to
support an Environmental Impact Assessment.
Baseline water quality monitoring for SSEN around Stenness Loch, involving GIS mapping, monthly sampling, laboratory testing, and reporting to ensure construction activities did not harm the Special Area of Conservation or connected watercourses.
Aquatera guided Highland Park’s peat cutting from 2007 to 2023, developing a conservation-focused management and restoration plan and providing operational supervision to ensure that the peat extraction necessary for whisky production, was done in a way that minimises environmental impact.
Intertidal sampling to assess invertebrates and substrate conditions at cable landing sites in Shetland, Orkney and Western Isles.
