Aquatera at COP28 UAE
Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Participation: COP28 is the 28th session of the UN Climate Change Conference of Parties in the UAE. From 30th November – 12th December, at Expo City Dubai.
Aquatera is attending COP28 as part of a Net Zero Business Delegation (total of 19 companies) with the Scottish Government, Scottish Development International, Scottish Chambers of Commerce.

Natalia Rojas (Senior Consultant) will be hosting a stand at Ocean Energy Europe 2023 for VALID (Verification through Accelerated testing Leading to Improved wave energy Design), a 3-year project specifically designed to develop a Hybrid Testing Platform for accelerated testing.
Ukrainian Gas & Power Forum: 25th-26th October, 2023
Location: Kyiv, Ukraine
Participation: Aquatera Group CEO Gareth Davies will be presenting at the Ukrainian Gas & Power Forum later this month, as part of the New World Energy Architecture and Green Transition.
The events that took place in the gas industry of Ukraine in 2015 and became a turning point for the entire gas sector led to the launch of the annual event: the Ukrainian Gas Forum, a completely new independent profile platform for the exchange of opinions between the representatives and heads of state, and private companies, international organisations, banking institutions, diplomatic missions, research institutes, service consumers, and industry specialists.
Gareth will be sharing the experience of setting and operating a novel community-based integrated energy services concept called ReFLEX.
The ReFLEX model has been piloted in the Orkney Islands in Scotland over the last 4 years with lessons learned now being applied to expanding the service offering in Orkney and replicating the integrated service approach in other communities. It is hoped that some of the enablement and resilience that such decentralisation may lead to would be particularly useful to Ukraine when rebuilding its future energy system.
