Kim has more than 15 year’s experience in the field of renewables and energy efficiency, as well as over 30 years experience of customer relations. She is a qualified Domestic Energy Assessor and Advisor which includes assessment of everything from insulation to renewables. She also qualified as a Smart Meter Installer and a Green Deal Advisor.

Prior to joining Aquatera in March 2024, she has spent the last few years working as a Community Development Officer - which included looking at setting up a community café and sustainable projects, such as an e-bike shed. In her spare time she is concentrating efforts on setting up a Community Garden which includes setting up a Polycrub for a community growing scheme on the island of Hoy. Alongside her role in Aquatera, Kim is also part of the Orkney Islands Council (OIC), as a Link Officer, involving liaison between the Community Council, OIC and the local community.
