David has 25 years’ experience working as an environmental scientist and has worked in the UK and overseas for a wide range of clients. He initially specialised in the field of chemical analysis of environmental samples and was involved in the development of national/international standardised analytical methodologies, setting up and managing laboratory facilities in the UK and abroad, and providing specialised training programmes for foreign scientists (from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Vietnam). Over his career he has gained significant experience in scientific writing and has prepared numerous documents ranging from basic executive summaries for non-specialist personnel, through to technical methodologies and detailed interpretive reports. David has designed, and participated in, numerous monitoring studies, both marine and terrestrial, including leading/managing survey operations on behalf of clients and is familiar with a wide range of sampling methodologies and equipment.
