Senior Consultant

Anna is a Senior Consultant with Aquatera working on a variety of projects focused on renewable energy and decarbonisation. Anna has diverse experience in environment, renewable energy, decarbonisation and 20 years in communications and journalism. Anna works as Project Manager / Programme Lead for decarbonisation and renewable energy projects, as well as providing communications and engagement expertise across Aquatera’s portfolio. Anna’s current roles include Project Manager for the Rural Energy Hubs project (funded by Innovate UK 2023-2025), which is developing multiple decarbonisation initiatives in Shetland and Orkney; and Programme Lead for Aquatera’s role in the Island Centre for Net Zero project (funded by the Island Growth Deal 2023-2033) which is pioneering routes to net zero for Shetland, Orkney and the Outer Hebrides. Anna joined Aquatera in 2019 as a senior lead on ReFLEX Orkney, a UKRI funded project to demonstrate an integrated, affordable, low-carbon energy system. Anna’s roles include strategy, project management and programme development, service design and delivery, community and stakeholder engagement and replication consultancy. Prior to joining Aquatera Anna has been a BBC political journalist and run her own video & TV production company and communications consultancy. Anna’s background gives her the skills to deliver a wide range of hands-on work and to lead multidisciplinary, multi-partner projects.
