|Andy Casely, BSc MRes PhD|
Andy joined Aquatera in 2011. After completing a Geography BSc at St Andrews, he studied for an MRes and a PhD, and subsequently undertook postdoctoral studies at the University of Edinburgh. With a mix of geomorphological field studies and spatial modelling of various parts of Iceland, and Greenland, he has experience of mapping and modelling glacier, climate and landscape change.
Andy has a strong aptitude for solving spatial problems, and carrying out mapping, analysis and visualisation with various GIS tools or with his own custom-built programs. With Aquatera, he has been involved in suitability mapping and ship track analysis, amongst other spatial data problems. Aquatera provides Andy with the opportunity to apply his skills to the development of renewable energy resources, something which he thinks is very important to support. Andy currently lives in Melbourne where his wife Helen is working, but location is no problem for the data analyst!
